Source-only macOS SwiftPM libraries cannot run their release build/test command on the archetype's fixed Ubuntu runner. Add a hosted
test-runs-oninput, defaulting to the existing Ubuntu runner, so callers can select macOS and their installed Xcode without copying the source-release pipeline. The input accepts only the documented hosted runner labels. Validation, source archives, both independent verifiers, tag handling, and publication stay unchanged. The test job retains read-only permissions.
Validation: the source/npm behavioral suite and actionlint pass locally; the complete workflow suite passed on AWS Crabbox (
run_3edd66c792c477d1a2d861bc036d0042). Independent Codex review found no actionable P0–P2 issues.
