WalkthroughQuery coordination now passes aggregation jobs into scheduling and recovery. ChangesQuery job handling
Priority: ➖ Normal Estimated code review effort: 3 (Moderate) | ~20 minutes Change: Bug fix Suggested reviewers: Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to Unsupported query jobs now fail instead of waiting forever. However, when the coordinator restarts, an already-submitted job that is now rejected can be marked failed while its Spider job keeps running. Also, if the failed-status update hits a transient database error, the job can remain stuck as running. Address the recovery path before merging. Pre-merge checks ·

- Around line 259-264: Update the recovery branch around `mark_job_failed` so a
failed status update is propagated to startup or the job is retained for retry
instead of being skipped. Ensure recovery does not leave the job `Running`
without a recovery handle after a transient database error.
- Around line 259-264: Before marking recovery as failed in the
`QueryJobHandle::new` error branch of `fetch_submitted_running_jobs`, resolve
the associated Spider job using its `spider_job_id` by cancelling or draining
it; then preserve the existing failure-marking and continue behavior.

Description
The
query-coordinatorcurrently handles two kinds of query jobs it can't drive as follows:PENDINGso that the Celerysearch-schedulercan pick them up.write_to_file) are run anyway, with their results written to the results cache, where the caller doesn't look for them.Since we no longer need to stay compatible with the Celery query path, nothing will ever pick up a skipped aggregation job, and a caller polling for its results waits forever. This PR fails both kinds of jobs instead.
